Built by an operator.
Guided by experience.
Riggs Kubiak began his career in institutional real estate at Ernst & Young, Granite Partners, and Tishman Speyer. Working across acquisitions, asset management, and sustainability gave him a firsthand view of how much of the industry still depended on fragmented, paper-based processes.
That frustration became the foundation for Honest Buildings. As co-founder and CEO, Riggs helped grow the company from an idea through a major pivot into an enterprise software platform used to manage tens of billions of dollars in capital projects.
Honest Buildings grew to more than 120 people, raised over $50 million, and was acquired by Procore in 2019. Riggs continued the journey inside Procore and through its transition into a public company.
Today, that experience shapes Contest Point: an operator-led platform that builds companies, partners with founders, invests for the long term, and convenes people around meaningful ideas.
Experience behind the platform
Built through experience.
Contest Point brings an operator’s perspective to company building, long-term investing, and founder partnership.
The book
An honest look at entrepreneurship—from idea to exit and beyond.
Earned follows the full arc of building Honest Buildings: the spark of an idea, the pivot, the fight to survive, the pressure of scaling, the acquisition by Procore, and the questions that remain after an exit.
It is not a playbook or a collection of easy answers. It is a series of real moments about doubt, pressure, identity, relationships, burnout, leadership, and the decisions that quietly change a company’s trajectory.
Each chapter is intended to feel like a candid conversation with a founder who has lived through the hard moments—and to help other entrepreneurs feel a little less alone in theirs.
